.....that every day is a new beginning, and that nothing from yesterday has to affect who you are today.
It does no good at all to bemoan what you may have done on a day prior to today -- or even, for that matter, a moment ago. You don't have to carry that into the Present Moment, nor is your guilt about it going to do you any good at good.
Simply resolve to become a different version of your self right here, right now. Use yesterday to inspire tomorrow, not to discourage it.

....that the opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.
Niels Bohr said that, and he was right. In fact, there have been few statements in the history of statement-
making that were more accurate than that one. So be aware and stay awake! The Law of Opposites
sometimes leads you to a Divine Dichotomy.
Two opposing truths can exist simultaneously in the same space. Do not therefore assume that That Which Opposes You is That Which Is Not Good For You. It may be just the reverse.

....that the cycles of life are endless -- and always serve you, because life is a process that serves Life Itself.
When things seeem to be shifting away from you, moving in the other direction, closing doors,
shutting own opportunities, remember that all things are cyclical -- including Life Itself.
What you are experiencing is temporary -- whether it's "good" OR "bad." So stop calling it one thing or the other, and simply embrace it as What's Happening Now. You'll move through it all much more peacefully. And one day you'll call it ALL "good."

No Fuss On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
..that if you are going to fuss over things, it is important to pick your battles.
The ideal, of course, would be to "fuss" over nothing. But given that we are all human, that may not be possible. What is possible is picking much more carefully the things that we are prepared to make a fuss over.
Ask yourself: "How much difference will this make when I'm 85?" If you think it will matter then, let it matter now. If you make everything matter now, you may not get to be 85.

....that it is well to avoid the tendency to catastrophize.
Stop worrying about all that could occur tomorrow. You are getting agitated about things that haven't
happened yet...and may never happen.
Stay here, right here, in this moment. What is going on right now...what is occurring right here...? That is all that matters. That is where your life is being lived.
You will not have to think but a second to know exactly why you received this message today.

Happiness On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
....that happiness is good health and a bad memory.
Ingrid Bergman said that, and it is so true. Memories, of course, bring up moments that are past, hereas
happiness is always found in the moment that is here, now.
Constantly remembering bad things, or sad things, can rob you of your present -- that is, your pre-sent -- joy. Happiness has been sent to you in advance by God. It is here, in this moment, if you will seize it...and share it.

Set Your Course
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that if a man does not know what port he is steering
for, no wind is favorable to him.
Seneca said that, and it is true. You have to know
where you are going in order to get there. This may
seem simplistic, but many people have no idea where
they are going in life--much less where they are
headed on the Journey of the Soul.
Yet these are things that have to be decided , not
discovered. Too many people are waiting to discover
what they should decide; to chance upon what they
should be choosing. Are you one of them?

Regret
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that when regret is sincere, an apology to another need
not be accepted.
Seek to speak purely from your heart. When you have
made a mistake, erred as all humans do, admit it, feel
your regret as your inner truth,share it with those who
matter in the incident, ask forgiveness, but do not require
it in order to move on in peace.
Another person's forgiveness is not what is needed.
Only your own. If the distress you caused was
unintentional, say you are sorry, then hold in a place of
love those who will not forgive you. It may be a larger
hurt they are healing.

Peace
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that peace cannot come to this world until you are
convinced that violence will never produce it.
Hurt does not heal hurt. Violence will not bring an end
to violence. Help the world to understand this by
reacting differently, responding newly, when anger and
a need to hurt you is sent your way.
You will have such an opportunity in your life. And
probably, more than once. Do not miss the chance
to humbly send a message of love.

Being You

...that you are loved on this day for all the wonder that
you bring to your world with the gift of being you.
Hard to believe, isn't it, that you are that special in the
eyes of God? Yet you are--and not because of what
you have done, but because of who you are. You are
God's own creation, an expression of Divinity in human
form.
The fastest way to experience this is to be the vehicle
through which others sees it in themselves. Each person
is walking his or her path and doing his or her best. God
knows this and that is why God loves you all.

Incompletion

...that embarrassment is a pointless experience. You
have permission to abandon it.
Replace it with self love and love of all others--and
love of the imperfections you imagine you see in both.
In truth, both are perfect in their 'imperfection,' for
'imperfection' merely means 'incompletion.'
So do not be embarrassed if you haven't completed
graduate school yet. Rather, look forward to the
adventure of doing it.

but the way you are being.
Your State of Being is the way you express your very
definition of self. This has nothing to do with what you

starting points. Yet you can return to love, as Marianne

your own campaign
You are invited by life to elect yourself a Spiritual
Leader, and to take office today. What does a
spiritual leader say? A spiritual leader does not say,
"Follow me." A spiritual leader says, "I'll go first."
Decide today to take the oath: I promise to "go first"
in demonstrating forgiveness, compassion, understanding,
generosity, kindness, cheerfulness, positivity, and love.

Awareness

..that awareness is everything. Not just part of it. Not
some aspect of it. Awareness is everything.
Look, therefore, to your awareness, not to your thoughts.
Your thoughts about things can betray you -- and often
do -- because they can be colored by emotions. Your
awareness cannot.
Just observe what is so. Then observe what you think
about what is so. Then ask yourself, "Why am I thinking
that?" And, more important, "What would happen if I
thought something else?"

Speak Your Truth On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that the goodness in your life does not come to you
from someone else. When you see this, you will be free.
There is no reason and no need to "play up" to another,
or to try to remain in their good graces. Remain in your
own, by not betraying yourself. Simply speak your truth,
with gentleness and love.
And have courage, for what you seek is not outside of
you. It is not a gift from another person. It is yours -- to
give, not to acquire. Let no one, therefore, hold you
hostage. Not your partner, not your boss, not your
family...and certainly not your God.

..that caution is natural, but fear is not. Do not give in
to fear, yet do not abandon caution.
It is a balancing act. Caution is what causes you to look
both ways before crossing the street. Fear is what keeps
you frozen on the curb forever. You know the difference.
You can feel it.
If you're "stuck" right now, you're probably into fear.
Get out of there. You've already looked both ways. Now
cross the street, for heaven sake. The cars have long
since gone. The coast is clear. Your only obstacle now is
your own mind.

...that the struggle ends when the gratitude begins.
The search is over when the finding starts. And the
finding is not a finding at all, but a creating. You cannot
find what you have been struggling for, but you can
create it. And the jump-start of creation is gratitude.
Thank you, God, for helping me to know that all that
I seek is coming to me now. Thank you, God, for
allowing me to feel, right now, the peace that comes
with gratitude for what is, replacing the yearning for
what is not. Thank you for bringing me the understanding
that from the isness comes all that is now not, but will
surely be. Let me stay, then, in the isness.

What?

...that "Why?" is the most useless question in the universe.
The only question with any meaning is "What?"
Asking "Why is this happening?" can only disempower
you. Asking "What do I want to make of this?" does
exactly the opposite.
Here is a great secret: the Why of anything is to produce
the What of everything.
Think about that for a moment. In fact, think about it for
the rest of the day.

Who Do You Think You Are?

...that mastery is not measured by the number of terrible
things you eliminate from your life, but by the number of
times you eliminate calling them terrible.
The Buddha brought suffering onto himself, to look into
theface of it, to see if he was that,and, if not, to see
who he then was. Jesus allowed himself to be cruxcified,
to demonstrate who he was. And what do you think you
are doing here?
Why bother with this relative world if not to know yourself
in your own experience? And how else to do that except
through the encountering of that which you are not?

Tolerance
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that love is the center and the core of everything,
and that Self is the place where all love must begin.
Those who love others grandly are those who love
themselves grandly. Those who have a high toleration
and acceptance of others are those who have a high
toleration and acceptance of themselves.
You cannot show another a part of you that you
cannot show yourself. Therefore, begin where all
growth, where all evolution, where all love must begin:
with the person in the mirror.
Will you not love yourself grandly today? For the
world's sake?

Selling out the Soul On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...

...that money is not the issue. Having the courage to
give your highest gift is the issue.
There is no security in doing something for a living
when you are dying inside while doing it. That is taking
care of the body at the expense of the soul. And a
withering soul cannot help but produce a withering body.
So do not think you are "taking care of yourself" by
killing your spirit to keep your body alive.
How long will you put off what you are dying to do?

We often think that we are operating in a vaccuum,

...that you have an opportunity this day to really affect
someone's life for the better. Watch for it.
Someone is needing something from you, and they are
going to come right to you to get it. Someone--friend

hours ahead, looking for the most important gift you
can give them: uplift for the soul.
Your job: return them to themselves. Find a way to
allow them to feel good about themselves again. Just
a word, or a smile, can do it. You'll know what's

Are You Willing?

Promote Your Ideas

...that the man with a new idea is a crank until the idea

Mark Twain said that, no doubt with a twinkle in his
eye. Do you have a new idea about something? Go

afraid of the doubts or disapproval of others.
Those things will be there, of course. But what of it?
Ideas are God, saying hello. Never pass one by, or
let a good one slip away. How do you know it's good?

You Are Not Your Story

..that you are not your 'story.' Who You Are is so much
bigger than that. It's okay to give up your past now.
Most of us have a story about how we got to be the way
we are, about what it's like to be 'us,' and about why it
is so difficult sometimes to get through life. All of this
is stuff that has nothing to do with who we are now.
How often do you 'come from' your 'story' when you
experience life. Are you ready to let go of that now?
What if you could create 'you' the way you want to be,
rather than the way you think you are? Wouldn't that be
great? Well, you can. All you have to do is let go of
your story.

Climb

...that the person standing on the mountain top did not
get there by falling.
You have to climb to where you want to go--and you
cannot get there by climbing over others. It is about
climbing with others, side by side, and even pulling
some others up with you.

that high place, and others will be happy that you're
there--which is what will keep you there.

....that you have two voices with which you speak: your
MindVoice and your SoulVoice.
These two voices are also -- all the time -- speaking to you.
Which voice you listen to will determine

SoulVoice. This will vastly improve your personal
communications -- to say nothing of your mood.

Oops
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that it is nice to let someone who admits an error
feel better after doing so...not feel worse.
If someone comes to you with an apology, or even just a
small "oops...", think about what you might say to help them
feel okay about their lapse, rather than telling them all the
reasons why it really inconvenienced you, or made
you look bad, or disserved you.
You will yearn for the same grace for another some day...

Reunion
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...
...that there is a family reunion awaiting you, and you will be more overjoyed than you can now begin to imagine.
On the day you leave your body -- what I like to call your Continuation Day -- you will be greeted by everyone you have ever loved in any way for any reason...and, standing in front of the group, every person who has been so very dear to you. It will be a grand and glorious reunion, with joy and laughter and pure wonderment filling every heart and soul!
This has also been experienced by everyone who has ever left here -- all those who have gone before you -- of course. So do not grieve for them. They are so very happy! I'm not sure why you were meant to hear this on this particular day...but I bet you are...
