In The Glass Bead Game, a book for which he won the Nobel Prize, Hesse formalizes an ideal of high civilization in his fictional, futuristic city of Castalia. In a monastic setting, painstakingly trained and socially reclusive scholars uphold an age-old tradition of playing what is known as the “Glass Bead Game,” the most prestigious demonstration of their ability to draw cultural and symbolic connections among various disciplines – music, art, philosophy, history, science, symbolism and all other forms of study that one might find in a university curriculum.
The town of Castalia coalesces all of the disciplines into one expression of mastery that unifies the wisdom of broader human civilization. layers of the game become initiates in a mystery, versed in complex symbolism they have spent their lives working tirelessly to master.
The Glass Bead Game, then, is about mastery of mystery. Brilliantly, Hesse never describes the complete working intricacies of a game end-to-end, preserving the concept of mystery about the game itself as its own fictional symbol.
As he describes:
The game is an abstract synthesis of all arts and sciences. It proceeds by players making deep connections between seemingly unrelated topics. It is "a kind of synthesis of human learning" in which themes, such as a musical phrase or a philosophical thought, are stated. As the game progresses, associations between the themes become deeper and more varied. The game uses artistic forms, and eventually cultural symbols. Themes are developed almost as a poet would,and building variations as a composer. It was a way of symbolizing music and of building broad insights into the world.

I am using Winx-YouTube-Downloader.exe to get your videos. It saves the format to MP4 and auto-adjusts the resolution size for each file. I can get ALL of the videos this way, but the producers notes and Links I am not getting. I have downloaded most videos, (137 right now), excluding the memes and like info from today back to Feb 2019. I want to include the producers notes and wonder if you kept any digital data re: these uploads and could you provide them to me?
Otherwise I will have to manually scrape the data on each one.
My objective is to keep as much as possible for input to an Access Database which will be linked to a web page. New bill would give AMNESTY to farm workers AND their family members

The House of Representatives may soon hold a vote on H.R. 4916, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. This legislation would amnesty illegal agricultural workers and greatly expand the number of H-2A visas issued each year. Under the legislation, millions of illegal farm workers and their families would receive an amnesty. Plus, the bill would greatly expand the agricultural guest worker program to include dairy, meat packing, food processing, and canning, putting more American workers at risk. H.R. 4916 is a terrible bill that will reward illegal aliens and the greedy agricultural businesses that hire them and will harm U.S. and legal immigrant workers by giving green cards to illegal aliens and increasing the number of H-2A visas issued each year.

A bigger than Lehman Brothers collapse of the financial system is being engineered in order to make way for a new financial system, Asian secret society sources say. Recent trends in financial markets, notably a stock market bubble of biblical proportions, back up this assertion. Any financial veteran will tell you that when financial markets fight against reality, reality always wins in the end. This means stock prices could fall by 90% or more.
However, in a sign the financial war is not yet over, European royals disagree, saying, “All of the world’s investment banks have begun to migrate away from the old system, so it is just a matter of time before it seamlessly or frictionlessly just morphs from the old to the new.”
This may work for payment systems, ATMs, and credit cards, etc., but not for the Western system of Babylonian debt slavery as a whole. This system has resulted in the top 1% owning 53.2% of all stocks and mutual funds, and if you add in the next 9%, the rich control 93.2%, leaving the remaining 90% with just 6.8%. Further proof that this is a system of debt slavery comes from the fact the bottom 90% of the people owe 72.4% of all the debt.
This stock market, controlled and owned by the super-rich and their high-level servants, has become fraudulent and parasitical and is actually sucking money out of the real economy. This makes a collapse mathematically inevitable.
Let’s take a look at some more numbers that prove this. From January to October of this year worldwide, $339 billion has been put into bonds and $208 billion has been taken out of stocks, and yet the stock market keeps hitting record highs. That’s because since 2009, institutional investors and households have taken $1.9 trillion out of the stock market while corporations, using private central bank funny money, have bought $3.6 trillion of their own shares.
Plus, according to the Wall Street Journal, 97% of listed companies are not using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in releasing their profits, meaning basically they are cooking their books.
Coca Cola is a good case study. To quote from The Daily Bell:
“If we just go back a few years to 2010, Coca Cola’s annual revenue was $35 billion. By 2018 the company’s annual revenue had fallen to less than $32 billion. In 2010, Coca Cola generated $5.06 in profit (earnings) per share. In 2018, just $1.50. And Coca Cola’s total equity, i.e. the ‘net worth’ of the business, was $31 billion in 2010. By 2018, equity had fallen to $19 billion. So over the past eight years, Coca Cola has lost nearly 40% of its equity, sales are down, and per-share earnings have fallen by 70%. Clearly the company is in far worse shape today than it was eight years ago. Yet Coke’s share price has nearly DOUBLED in that period.”
To summarize, the families that own the Western (and Japanese) central banks are printing money and handing it to the corporations they also own, while sucking the lifeblood out of 90% of the population.
A collapse of Deutsche Bank would pull down the European Central Bank and bankrupt the EU, the Asian sources say.
Needless to say, while it’s easy to spot a bubble, it’s harder to predict when it will burst. However, Asian secret society and White Dragon Society (WDS) sources believe a collapse is likely in 2020. This will be followed by a jubilee (a one-time write-off of all debt and redistribution of assets) and a huge campaign to fix the planet. This plan includes setting up a meritocratic future planning agency that anybody can apply to join.
Before that becomes possible, though, some serious battles remain to be fought. Right now, the main action is taking place in Saudi Arabia and Mexico, where the Khazarian mafia is fighting to preserve its oil and drug money pipelines.
Let’s start with the situation in Mexico, where according to Pentagon sources, U.S. President Donald Trump has “declared war on Mexican drug cartels, and indirectly the Democrats who are their secret supporters.” However, Mexican sources say recent events in Mexico such as the supposed murder of nine American women and children are just false flags. The evidence leads to “Yunque, an extreme-right secret occult sect with trails of pedophilia (Father Marcial Maciel was part of it),” Mexican patriots say.
The Mexican sources have put together a damning case showing that the recent attempt to arrest the son of “El Chapo” and the supposed murder of the Americans were part of a desperate attempt by the U.S. corporation to survive by seizing Northern Mexico and its oil fields.
The LeBaron family that was supposed to be the victim of the slaughter of nine women and children has been stealing water, kicking farmers off their land, smuggling drugs, and is involved in the NXIVM sex cult among other things, the sources say.
They note that the video of the “massacre” showed no bodies, no clothing, had no witnesses, and that the bullet-ridden survivors supposedly managed to walk six hours and 15 kilometers through hostile desert terrain and are all in Arizona, not Mexico.
The sources also say the failed attempt to arrest the son of El Chapo was done by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and the governor of Culiacán without informing the President of Mexico. “The cartel had a reaction response comparable to that of a well-organized army. The stink of CIA operatives is all around,” the sources say.
“With the excuse of these attacks, the U.S. Congress is going to label drug cartels as terrorist organizations, therefore opening the door, thanks to the Patriot Act, to wage war in Mexico,” they conclude. A detailed report by the Mexicans can be seen in a Letter to the Editor on this site.
Now let’s turn our attention to the situation in Saudi Arabia, where the Khazarian mafia is fighting to preserve the petrodollar system by publicly listing Aramco, the Saudi oil company. Here, “Iran’s announcement of a new 53 billion barrel oil field was timed to derail the Aramco IPO and should make it richer than Saudi Arabia, whose proven depleted reserves may be well below 200 billion barrels,” Pentagon sources say.
“Until Saudi Arabia signs a non-aggression pact with Iran, a peace deal with Yemen, and has S-400 [anti-aircraft batteries] operational to protect its oil assets, nobody will invest in Aramco,” the sources continue. “While China may pretend to be interested in Aramco to help Mohammed Bin Salman, it may be forced to back down because of Saudi human rights violations, war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity, torture, mass murder, and terrorism,” they conclude.
Of course, the battle over Saudi Arabia is also about an attempt by the Rockefellers and other cabal families to use the oil to bribe the Chinese into going along with them, WDS sources say. That’s why they handed $100 billion of “Saudi money” plus control of Japan’s election-stealing machinery to Softbank’s Son Masayoshi, a relative of Sun Yat-sen, founder of modern China, Asian secret society sources say.
However, the Asian secret society sources say they are not being fooled by this maneuver, which is why Son has suddenly run out of money. Instead, the sources say they plan to bankrupt the cabal-owned Bank of Japan along with the Federal Reserve Board and the European Central Bank.
The sources say they are setting up a bank in Serbia that is being designed to replace the European Central Bank. Serbia is being given Russian S-400 air defenses to protect this planned bank, the sources say. This would be great historical justice for the destruction of Yugoslavia.
In a sign the U.S. military is on board with this plan, Pentagon sources say, “Trump may attend Russia’s Victory Day military parade in May 2020 to send a message to the Deep State, Zionists, and China.”
The Chinese, for their part, are now preparing to establish a $10 trillion a year “Earth-moon space economic zone by 2050.”
There’s a lot more going on under the surface that we cannot write about yet for reasons of operational security. However, we can say that more and more senior cabal politicians are vanishing. The desperate cabal operatives are trying to sustain the appearance that their pet politicians are still around with tweets, letters, press releases, and computer graphics. However, we hear they are being held incommunicado while facing “vigorous questioning.” Most are “singing like canaries,” Pentagon sources say.
Once the clean-up in the U.S. is finished, attention will turn to Europe and Japan, WDS sources claim.
Finally, in a sign the Israelis have backed off their “Samson option” threats, Israeli embassies have reopened for 25 days on the order of a judge, according to a spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in Tokyo. This maybe an indication the Zionists are negotiating a surrender.

I keep seeing stories about “historic” flooding in Venice Italy, and of course propaganda media is linking it to climate change. So I finally hunted for info online. I ready that it’s the worst flooding “in 50 years”, which tells me that 50 years ago there was flooding that was just as bad. Was that due to climate change too? Digging a bit more I found out flooding was occurring in the 1st century.

It’s time to call a spade a spade. Most of the world’s problems originate with a group known as the Elders of Zion. This is an undeniable fact and has nothing to do with the Jewish people. Rather, it’s a group of inbred families who own most of the world’s corporations and have been plotting to murder 90% of humanity and enslave the rest. That’s why they have spent $6.4 trillion on war and mass murder (according to recent calculations by the Watson Institute) since they orchestrated their 9/11 terror attacks and fascist coup d’état.
This was enough money to end poverty, stop environmental destruction, and launch humanity into the universe. Instead it was spent on a project to create a Greater Israel from which to rule the survivors of their planned artificial Armageddon. Let us be clear: the problem originates with the inbred group of families that control monotheism.
As a reminder, we are ruled by a govern- (control) ment (mind) that uses religion (re-ligare: to rebind) to bundle us into a fascii (a bundle of sticks), or fascism. Fascism is also known as “rule by corporations.” A Swiss study has shown that 737 people control 80% of the world’s transnational corporations.
These people are also known as the Elders of Zion. They control a system of Babylonian debt slavery through their ownership of most of the world’s central banks. That’s why their servants, the top 10% of the people, control 93.2% of the world’s financial assets, while the bottom 90% are burdened with 72.4% of the debt.
This system is headed for collapse. Riots and civil unrest in Algeria, Bolivia, Britain, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Spain share in common a deep distrust of the ruling elite. Also, as discussed last week, the entire corporate financial system has completely lost touch with reality and no longer functions. The chart below shows how the stock market and the real economy no longer correlate.
We would like to add that the GDP numbers are wildly exaggerated and do not reflect income disparity, which means the situation is even far worse than shown in the chart. Right now, indicators of real economic activity, especially in the United States, the epicenter of this crisis, show that a serious recession has already started. And yet the stock market is reaching record highs.
The cabal’s Federal Reserve Board is pumping unprecedented sums of money into the system to try to prevent a meltdown. It now looks like something called Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) will be Ground Zero of the collapse. These are bundles of junk loans which work according the same logic that caused the Lehman Brothers collapse. That is to say, the financial wizards somehow think that if you take lots of small bits of garbage and put them into a big garbage bag, they stop being garbage. This chart below shows that the problem this time is at least twice as big as the Lehman crisis.

The time for egoic power struggles is coming to an end.
Changes of great magnitude are occurring all across the world as the human collective moves at an ever accelerating pace towards awakening. There is hardly anyone on Earth at present who is unaware that something of enormous significance is happening. The mainstream media is reporting, as usual, on chaos, confusion, and catastrophe in various areas of the world, or more locally on dramatic neighborhood events that encourage fear, but these are not the changes to which I am referring. All over the world people are being nudged and prodded by their spiritual guides to remind them of the intentions they set before incarnating to take up human form in their present lifetimes. The state of spiritual amnesia that occurs when a soul chooses to take human form causes intense confusion because, while realizing that life as a human must have a purpose, for most people that sense of purpose appears to be non-existent, missing, or cannot be accessed because it is so deeply hidden within them. Until very recently the majority of humans, mainly due to this state of amnesia, believed that their survival as humans and their ability to obtain pleasure through their human senses was the sole purpose of life. However, in the last few decades, more and more people have been seeking a deeper meaning to life, a loving and compassionate meaning, and there is abundant evidence for this change in attitudes all across the planet where groups have been forming to raise awareness about issues that concern them – for instance, ongoing industrial processes causing immense damage to the environment, health concerns, the poverty in which so many are forced to live, and the elimination of so many animal and insect species due to insensitive application of commercial fertilizers and pesticides. This is a very positive indication of the acceleration of humanity’s awakening process. Your awakening is happening right now! Yes, there is chaos and confusion on an unprecedented scale, but this is because people are changing as they evolve spiritually; they are growing in their awareness that everyone without exception has an intrinsic right to the necessities of life, and all over the world they are demanding that these necessities be provided by the governments that are supposed to be representing them. The old ways of governing a subservient population are no longer acceptable and are being dismantled. The new ways that will replace them have not yet been fully developed, but much intelligent and wise discussion is producing some very effective ideas that will be most fruitful in resolving these basic social problems that have been ignored or dismissed by governments for a very long time.
As the saying goes: “Change is in the air!” And this is wonderful news. This is the news that so many have been waiting for, it is ongoing and unstoppable: humanity is awakening, NOW! Trust your intuition to guide you with integrity safely and honestly forward. You need to move forward, you want to move forward, and it is your human destiny to move forward. It is what you incarnated to do. The time for egoic power struggles is coming to an end, and even those with the most egotistical intentions are being nudged toward awakening, and are beginning to come to an awareness that the manner in which they have been living, while striving to control and manipulate others, is not only no longer acceptable, but that it is a way of life that they no longer wish to engage in. Many who have held political positions and ambitions for many years are stepping down, and this is being reported in the mainstream news media. Much more of an extremely uplifting nature is also occurring, as humanity’s spiritual evolutionary intent strengthens and intensifies. Wherever you are living and whatever you are doing, you are on your spiritual path, every human is on their spiritual path, even though it may seem to you that you yourself, or others, are just stumbling blindly along; this is not the case. It only seems like that because so much is arising for you that needs to be acknowledged and released, stuff that has lain dormant, buried, hidden, denied, or ignored for many lifetimes, and which, as it comes into your awareness, shocks and horrifies you. Thoughts are occurring to you that you imagined were only present in the minds of those who were utterly insane. How could they be arising in your minds when you believe that your purpose and intent is to be only loving, you ask yourselves in horror? Well, you are all part of the human collective, and so the thoughts that one encourages or engages with affects everyone else. That is why the awakening process is so necessary and so intense. There is only One Consciousness, Awareness, Mother/Father/God, Source, and It is You, and within It all thoughts arise. Therefore all can and do access them, very frequently quite unintentionally, and the results in your individual thought patterns can be very shocking and alarming. Just let them go! Do not engage with them or try to correct them because there is no need to, they are unreal and will just dissolve or disintegrate when you release them by refusing to focus on them with intent to change or eradicate them. Your task in the awakening process remains the same, namely, set and hold the intent to be only loving whatever arises. Do not engage in conflict because doing so only strengthens and intensifies it. If you do not engage with it, it remains contained within the originators, waiting for them, when they are ready, to release it. Conflict has never been used successfully to resolve conflict, it just replicates itself, leading to further conflict. Therefore be only peaceful and loving, and do not attempt to show others how right you are or how wrong they are. No-one is wholly right or wrong, ever. People are just misguided, and they can only move out from that condition when they themselves are ready, and when they are, you can lovingly and peacefully support them.
You incarnated to offer and provide that loving and peaceful support, and as you do so you are never alone, because you have us, a wonderful support team in the spiritual realms, that is constantly available and on call to assist you in every moment. On Monday, responding to a letter from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) in which she wrote to President Trump, “Your shamelessness knows no bounds. From day one of your presidency, you have attacked our democracy and now you have set your ire on the 550,000 Americans who on any given night experience homelessness,” Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson blasted Waters, firing back in a letter, “Shamelessness is a career politician of 30 years laying blame. Shamelessness is allowing more than 55,000 Americans to live on the very streets they represent.” According to Politico, Carson also stated, “My mother always taught me that people shouldn’t throw rocks, especially while they live in a glass house. Because of that wise lesson, I was a little surprised to read your hostile letter to President Trump regarding the record number of homeless Americans in California, particularly in your district.” Carson continued, “To me, the most compassionate, obvious, and logical solution would be to get as many homeless Americans off the streets — with a roof over their heads — as soon as humanly possible. I have sent multiple letters to your office and requested numerous meetings, but each time you’ve refused. Basic manners elude you and it seems that instead of producing results, you’re more interested in producing cheap headlines at the President’s expense — like a true career politician.” Carson also stated, “Shamelessness is allowing anyone other than a biological female into a battered women’s shelter.” In Waters’ letter, she snapped, “Given this deplorable track record, I demand that you provide additional information on your Administration’s recent report, ‘The State of Homelessness in America,’ and your reported plans to unilaterally demolish homeless tent camps and relocate homeless individuals to federally-owned facilities. As you know, homelessness in this country has reached crisis proportions and this effort would be one of the numerous cruel, unlawful, and unpatriotic actions you have taken during what will hopefully be a short-lived presidency.”
On October 1, Waters went off the rails as she attacked President Trump, tweeting, “I’m calling on the GOP to stop Trump’s filthy talk of whistleblowers being spies & using mob language implying they should be killed. Impeachment is not good enough for Trump. He needs to be imprisoned & placed in solitary confinement. But for now, impeachment is the imperative.” She added, “Trump is so irresponsible & so hungry for power & control, he would dare imply that a civil war will ensue if he’s impeached. He is dog whistling to his white supremacists to create fear & intimidation b/c he knows he is going to be impeached. He knows he deserves impeachment.” In June 2018, Waters ranted:

How official "science" is deployed to advance a political agenda

The public wants to buy every official scientific claim the mainstream press pounds into their brains---whether the issue is vaccine safety, global warming, the "overwhelming success" of medical drugs, the Big Bang theory of the universe's origin...
For most people, the notion that a political agenda underlies such scientific pronouncements is unthinkable.
So as an example, a very specific example of fake science, let's look back at the attack on Oklahoma City.
On April 19, 1995, one-third of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City blew up, killing 169 people and wounding 680 others.
Three men were arrested and convicted: Tim McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and Michael Fortier. McVeigh was put to death on June 11, 2001, Nichols is currently serving multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole, and Fortier was sentenced to 12 years (he served that term and was released).
The official narrative of the bombing stated: A Ryder truck parked at the curb outside the Murrah Building contained barrels of ammonium nitrate plus fuel oil (ANFO bombs), and their coordinated explosion occurred shortly after 9AM on the morning of April 19th.
In addition to the deaths and the woundings, the explosion impacted 324 buildings and 86 cars in the area.
(In My 1995, book, "The Oklahoma City Bombing, the Suppressed Truth," I laid to rest the claim that ANFO bombs could have caused that much damage; and more importantly, I showed that an explosion coming out of a Ryder truck at the curb could not have caused the particular profile of damage sustained by the Murrah Building.)
The vaunted FBI lab decided that, indeed, all the damage and death HAD been caused by ANFO bombs in the Ryder truck.
But wait.
Buckle up.
Two years after the bombing, on March 22, 1997, we had this from CNN: "The Justice Department inspector general's office has determined that the FBI crime laboratory working on the Oklahoma City bombing case made 'scientifically unsound' conclusions that were 'biased in favor of the prosecution,' The Los Angeles Times reported Saturday."
"...[FBI] supervisors approved lab reports that they 'cannot support' and...FBI lab officials may have erred about the size of the blast, the amount of explosives involved and the type of explosives used in the bombing[!]."
"...harshest criticism was of David Williams, a supervisory agent in the [FBI] explosives unit, the paper [LA Times] said. Those flaws reportedly include the basis of his determination that the main charge of the explosion was ammonium nitrate. The inspector general called such a determination 'inappropriate,' the Times said."
"...FBI officials found a receipt for ammonium nitrate at defendant [Terry] Nichols' home and, because of that discovery, Williams slanted his conclusion to match the evidence."
And with those revelations, the case, the investigation, the court trials, and press probes should have taken a whole new direction. But they didn't.
The fake science was allowed to stand.
Therefore, other paths of investigation were abandoned. If bombs did, in fact, explode in the Ryder truck, but didn't cause the major damage, then those bombs were a cover for other explosions of separate origin---for example, charges wired inside the columns of the Murrah Building, triggered at the exact moment the Ryder Truck explosion occurred.
Now we would be talking about a very sophisticated operation, far beyond the technical skills of McVeigh, Nichols, and Fortier.
Who knows where an honest in-depth investigation would have led? The whole idea of anti-government militia terrorism in the OKC attack---symbolized by McVeigh---was used by President Bill Clinton to bring the frightened public "back to the federal government" as their ultimate protector and savior.
Instead, the public might have been treated to a true story about a false flag operation, in which case President Clinton's massaged message would never have been delivered.
But the fake crooked science pushed by the FBI lab was permitted to stand---despite exposure as fraud---and the story of militia terrorists trying to bring down the federal government was allowed to stand as well.
The year 1995 was rife with anti-government sentiment in America. This wasn't merely a bunch of militias talking about insurrection. This was widespread dissatisfaction, on the part of many Americans, who were seeing federal power expand beyond any semblance of constitutionality.
As an object lesson, the Oklahoma Bombing was: "You see what happens when crazy people are allowed to own guns and oppose the government? Stop listening to anti-government rhetoric. It's horribly dangerous. We, the government, are here to protect you. Come home to us. Have faith in us. We'll punish the offenders. We'll make America safe again. Let's all come together and oppose these maniacs who want to destroy our way of life..."
The lesson worked.
Many scared Americans signed on to Clinton's agenda.
And fake FBI science was used to bolster that agenda.
Even when exposed as fake by mainstream press outlets---however briefly, with no determined follow-up---the federal brainwashing held. The myth was stronger than reality.
If the federal government can egregiously lie about an event as huge as the Oklahoma Bombing, using fake science as a cover---what wouldn't they lie about?

This Issue: House Judiciary Committee decides ag amnesty can't exclude illegal aliens with multiple drunk driving convictions

The next amnesty battle on the floor of the U.S. House moved closer this week after a committee cleared a bill granting lifetime work permits and a path to citizenship for most illegal aliens working in agriculture. The House Judiciary Committee passed H.R. 5038, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, along party-lines with all Democrats voting in favor, and all Republicans voting against. During the committee markup, several Republican amendments were voted down. Most notably, Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) offered an amendment that would have excluded illegal farm workers from the amnesty if they:
* either had a conviction for driving under the influence where the impaired driving caused serious injury or death of another person,
* or had multiple convictions for driving under the influence.
The amendment was defeated, 7-to-16, with all Democrats voting against and all Republicans voting in favor of the amendment. It was good to see full GOP opposition in committee against the final bill since the legislation has nearly two dozen Republican cosponsors in the full House. But we're still extremely concerned given its bipartisan support as it advances to the full House where a vote could come in December or shortly after the first of the year. "Every U.S. Representative with significant agriculture in their District is susceptible to the lobbying of ag corporations unless they hear strong opposition from their constituents."

BORDER FUNDING FIGHT MOVES TO DECEMBER
Congress is on recess for next week's Thanksgiving holiday and both chambers will be in town on Dec. 3. Just before they left, Congress passed another continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown and continue federal spending until Dec. 20. Like in the past few years, the biggest sticking point over a yearlong spending deal is funding for Pres. Trump's border fencing. Both sides continue to negotiate, and there's a decent chance that the debate continues into the new year.
Congress has a few options before the Dec. 20 deadline:
1) Pass another CR that continues current spending levels to a future date.
2) Pass a CR-omnibus bill that funds some government agencies for the rest of FY2020 and extends current spending levels for a few agencies (DHS included) to a future date.
3) Pass a spending bill (or bills) that funds the full government for the rest of the fiscal year with or without Pres. Trump's border fence funding.
4) Repeat last year's events by agreeing to nothing and shutting down the government. This is the less likely scenario as we get closer to the next elections.
We're prepared to push for any good immigration provisions and provide resistance for any bad provisions, so be on the lookout for action alerts over the first couple weeks of December as things develop. I was doing my marathon grocery shopping day this week and while standing in the produce department in Trader Joe’s, I ran into a person I have known for awhile. She is someone I would call a friendly acquaintance. We were chatting along and sharing some stuff from our lives (both back to the land hippies, she lived in Berkeley for 30 years, I lived in Maine for 30 years, etc). Oh, she is New York Jewish/liberal.
So, I am not sure how this conversation came around to where it came but I said, well, I’m more of a small government person, you know, the old hippie motto, do your own thing as long as you don’t hurt someone else…and she looked at me and said, “have you heard about the walk away movement?”
To say my jaw dropped is a mild way of putting it. Well, it turns out she has walked away from the Democrat Party!!! I could not believe it. I said well I thought you were a liberal Dem and she said she thought the same about me! She said the Dems have gone way too far over the line left. She has come to see Trump as well, a really special person, and that we need someone with his ego, his personality to withstand what he is doing. She said, “I’m a patriot”.
Talk about totally blowing my mind. In addition, she told me there is a group that meets every other Sunday afternoon and they are all walk away/Trump supporters!! They are meeting tomorrow and I am so excited about going.

I did not know of this act until recently, but it has been a law for almost 65 years.
Here are the historic facts that would seem to indicate that many, if not most, of the people we elect to work for us in Washington do not have the slightest idea of what laws already exist in OUR country.
After several terrorist incidents were carried out in the United States, Donald Trump was severely criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities and even people of certain religions (Muslims).
The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being un-American, dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist.
Congressmen and senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and our president called such a prohibition on immigration unconstitutional.

It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions.
Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the "suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by the president, whenever the president finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States."
"The president may, by proclamation and for such a period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens, immigrants or non- immigrants, or impose any restrictions on the entry of aliens he may deem to be appropriate."
Who was president when this was passed? Democrat Harry Truman.
Who do you suppose last used this process? Democrat Jimmy Carter, no less than 37 years ago, in 1979 to keep Iranians out of the United States. I remember that well.
But Carter actually did more. He made ALL Iranian students, already in the United States, check in with the government. And then he deported a bunch of them.
