As my readers know, I’ve reported on a number of scandals concerning the toxicity of medical drugs, including shocking death numbers in the US. These scandals are leaks from inside the National Security State. If you visit Wikileaks, Cryptome, Public Intelligence, and other similar sites, how many purely medical documents do you find posted? How many damaging leaks exposing the crimes of the medical cartel do you find? Very, very few. Where are the medical insiders who are liberating and passing along incriminating documentary evidence? Some of the best exposers of political, intelligence-agency, and military crimes are way behind the curve, when it comes to medical matters. The medical sphere, for various reasons, is far better protected than any other segment of society. For the hundredth time, let me cite Dr. Barbara Starfield’s stunning review, “Is US health really the best in the world?” published on July 26, 2000, in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Starfield, at the time, was working as a highly respected public health expert, at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She concluded that the US medical system kills 225,000 Americans a year. That would add up to 2.25 million deaths per decade. Laid directly at the door of the American medical complex. 106,000 of those annual deaths, as Starfield reports, are the direct result of medical drugs. Aside from the genocidal death toll, Starfield’s findings also imply massive fraud in all medical journals that routinely publish glowing results of clinical trials of drugs. Such trials open the door to the marketing of drugs that kill, according to Starfield, 106,000 Americans every year. How is this possible unless deep, continuing, and abetted research fraud are the order of the day? Indeed, Dr. Marcia Angell, the editor of New England Journal of Medicine for 20 years, wrote the following: “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.” (NY Review of Books, January 15, 2009) The FDA, of course, is the single government agency responsible for certifying drugs as safe and effective, before their public release is permitted. Yet the FDA takes absolutely no responsibility for the deaths. Can you imagine the feeding frenzy, if, say, some leaker in the Pentagon passed along a political/military document to Wikileaks that showed the Dept. of Defense was poisoning to death, like clockwork, a hundred thousand of its own soldiers every year? Let’s stop this insane nonsense of separating one whole set of government crimes from another, simply because the propagandized priests in the white coats are above reproach. We’re not living in 1950 anymore, and this isn’t Kansas. In 1988, when I was writing my first book, AIDS INC., I stated that medical covert ops are the most successful methods for pacifying, debilitating, and controlling populations, through toxification, because these ops fly the flag of political neutrality. They appear to favor no king, dictator, president, government administration or partisan position. Their propaganda is all about healing and helping. In fact, the medical cartel is, in the long run, the most effective branch of political repression, from one end of the planet to the other. It favors top-down control by those in power, whoever they are, whatever they claim to stand for. Consider this: when Ed Snowden released NSA documents that showed the extent of government surveillance on populations, no one from the intelligence establishment made a serious case that Snowden’s revelations were false. Instead, they attacked Snowden for exposing “methods” of “the war on terror.” However, in the medical arena, leakers would be afraid that doctors, medical bureaucrats, public health agencies, government leaders, drug-company fronts, and major media outlets would, all at once, deny the validity and truth of the leaks—despite the fact that the truth is there for all to see. In other words, the best protected cartel in the world—medical—would act in a far more Orwellian fashion. It would say: the truth is not the truth, the facts are not the facts, 2 and 2 do not equal 4—and the cartel would get away with doing that. This is the kind of clout we’re talking about when it comes to medical matters. Over the years, I’ve alerted mainstream reporters to the Starfield review, cited above, and other confirming published studies that reveal the horrific extent of medical destruction. Those reporters who bothered to get back to me issued blanket denials. They essentially said, “Yes, I see the evidence and the facts, but the facts aren’t facts. What’s happening isn’t happening.” Now we’re talking about some heavy brainwashing. By comparison, it makes the quality of the scandal around Snowden seem like a Sunday lunch in the park. A few years ago, I had one reporter, who exposes political leaks, tell me: “I don’t mess with medical stuff. It would ruin my credibility.” Indeed. Another indication of how powerful the medical apparatus is. Recently, the Washington Post highlighted a new study that puts “medical errors” as the 3rd leading cause of death in America. There hasn’t been any significant follow-up. There hasn’t been an explosion of outrage. So even when exposure occurs, the brainwashing factor is so strong it makes no difference. It’s just another ho-hum day in the news business. That’s mind control par excellence. That’s tremendous protection of criminals. That’s like a crime boss saying, “Yeah, I kill 225,000 people every year, but it’s an accident”—and nothing happens. He goes his merry way, and everyone praises him as a humanitarian. Talk about inventing and selling false reality. This one is at the top of the charts, and it stays there. I could stop here, but I’m going to take this one step further, because, as you can see, I’m talking about mind control. So here is the vital add-on: From the dawn of history, humans have been particularly vulnerable to statements, from “selfless altruists,” about being saved, being rescued, being given gifts from above. And behind those statements, when there is an organization involved, a top-down organization, the threat level rises considerably. Leaders have always recognized that if they match their pronouncements and assurances with the population’s unflagging hope of being saved, they, the leaders, win. They win big. Even in societies where overt human sacrifice was practiced, the cover story involved some kind of healing and rescue. The good gods would see the sacrifices and intervene to produce “better days.” Better life for all. This is what was sold, and this was what was bought. For many people, the times have not changed. Make them a promise of medical rescue, and they’re in. They’re floating in a hopeful trance. A hypnotic induction has been performed, and it works. The controlled subject responds with gratitude. At that point, you can engage in complete contradictions, rank absurdities, and doublespeak. The trance will hold. As my old research collaborator, hypnotherapist Jack True, once told me in an interview, “People want dreams. When they lose faith in their own ability to dream about the life they want, they’ll accept someone else dreaming for them. That’s what hypnosis is. Someone else dreaming for you. You accept a substitute. That’s mind control. That’s believing you can live in someone else’s creation forever…” If I were the head of an institution of higher learning, I would engrave that quote above the gates, and I would build a four-year course that explores the implications of the quote in every dimension of human existence. We begin with this: “Administration of KMV (killed measles vaccine) apparently set in motion an aberrant immunologic response that not only failed to protect children against natural measles, but resulted in heightened susceptibility.” JAMA Aug. 22, 1980, vol. 244, p. 804, Vincent Fulginiti and Ray Helfer. The authors indicate that such children can come down with “an often severe, atypical form of measles. Atypical measles is characterized by fever, headache… and a diverse rash (which)… may consist of a mixture of macules, papules, vesicles, and pustules…”
In other words, the measles vaccine can create a worse form of measles. This is not the normal form of the illness, from which children routinely recover with the bonus of lifetime immunity. No, this is a severe, atypical, dangerous, synthetic, vaccine-induced disease.
Now read this: “…the window of vulnerability of an infant may be even greater in vaccinated women than in with women with natural measles infection.” (Am. J. Trop. Med. Hyg., 79(5), 2008, pp. 787–792).
Translation: Measles occurring in infants—which is unusual and dangerous—is more likely to occur when the mother has been vaccinated against measles. Why? Because she no longer passes down, to her child, the natural components of immunity to measles.
This stunning finding can apply across the board, for all vaccines and all childhood illnesses.
Vaccinated mothers, who would ordinarily pass down natural immune factors to their babies, often don’t.
The vaccinators are creating a synthetic world of pretended immunity. And they want the global population to live inside that bubble—and suffer the consequences.
Medical experts have spewed a great deal of nonsense promoting how serious childhood diseases are. This is an attempt to refute centuries of evidence showing children recover nicely from these illnesses and thus acquire lifetime immunity.
The “seriousness” of the diseases, when they are serious, results from two factors: vaccinated mothers, and a general weakness of children’s immune systems. And that weakness results from sub-standard nutrition and a lack of nutritious breast-feeding.
Of course, breast feeding isn’t going to be naturally nutritious if the mother has been previously loaded with vaccines. It’s a vicious circle.
And remember this: no amount of vaccines is going to solve tremendously sub-standard childhood nutrition.
Claiming that undernourished children must be vaccinated up to their eyeballs—as “substitute protection” against disease—is an egregious and despicable lie.
The vaccine establishment is fully aware of what I’m discussing here, and it has covered it up.
There is no substitute for natural immunity derived from good nutrition.
Finally, if you revisit the first quote in this article, you’ll see another factor at work. The measles vaccine that paves the way for “severe, atypical” measles in children? The vaccine could be falsely exonerated on the grounds that the symptoms which develop in children don’t add up to measles at all. What these children have doesn’t look like measles—
And therein lies one of the greatest secrets about all vaccines. They appear to wipe out diseases, because, after vaccination, the signs and symptoms ordinarily associated with those diseases often don’t occur.
Instead, the old symptoms are altered or don’t appear at all. Therefore, medical experts can claim that mumps or measles or pertussis or diphtheria have been eliminated from the population—when in fact what is happening is the emergence of vaccine-induced disease with different symptoms.
And those symptoms are given different disease-names.
Polio? Gone. Now we have meningitis. Smallpox? Gone. Now we have “lesions of unknown origin” or Kaposi’s Sarcoma.
Vaccinated children become more ill than they would have, and children die. But it doesn’t matter for the sellers and enforcers of vaccines, because they can say, “Look, vaccines are extraordinarily successful wherever they’re given; they wipe out diseases.”
No they don’t.
They just transfer the pictures of symptoms.
And they cut off the population from natural and powerful immunity, the very same immunity that, along with improved nutrition, better basic sanitation, and a higher standard of living, made many serious diseases into light illnesses.
It’s all a shell game. If the vaccinators confessed, they would say something like this:
“Okay folks, here’s what we do. We give the mother and her baby a shot against Disease A. Disease A is a set of recognizable symptoms. After vaccination, that set of symptoms will occur far less often. Instead, a new set of far more dangerous symptoms will occur. We’ll call those symptoms Disease B. And we’ll say Disease A has been wiped out…”
This shell game is played with human lives sacrificed on the altar of profits, and the creation of more debilitation and death.

Heads of MI5 and MI6 expected to stand down in 2020 despite 'dangerous times' for Britain
The heads of both MI5 and MI6 are due to step down in the new year at a time of ongoing threats from Islamist extremists, Russia and the rise of China, The Telegraph understands.
Two new top spies, who could be posted in from outside the agencies, will face immediate global problems in these “dangerous times,” a former intelligence official has told the Telegraph.
Sir Alex Younger, the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), better known as MI6, and Sir Andrew Parker, his opposite number at MI5, are both thought to be standing down in 2020.
Their successors are expected to come from within their organisations, although there has been a drive in recent years for personnel to ‘cross pollinate’ between agencies.
Ciaran Martin, 45, who set up the National Cyber Security Centre in 2016, will also leave his post in the summer. Mr Martin will take up a role in the private sector and become a visiting professor at King's College London, he announced on Friday evening.
Philip Ingram, a former military intelligence officer who advises on security matters, said the government will be careful to ensure there is no “gap in the wider understanding” of the threats facing Britain as the pivotal roles are handed over.
“Global events will have a great impact on the selection of their successors,” he told the Telegraph.
“They don’t necessarily need to be spies from with in the agencies but they need credibility. Whoever comes in needs to be knowledgeable on the current issues so you don’t get a gap in the wider understanding. It will be very interesting to see who they put in there [as] they will also need to get on with government.
"I don’t think it’s an issue that they’re both going at the same time. There is nothing to stop them appointing from out of different agencies; there has been a move to bring more outsiders in.”

Sir Alex has been head of SIS since 2014 and has provided advice to three Prime Ministers: David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson. Director General of MI5, Sir Andrew Parker, has been in post since April 2013.
Sir Alex, known in his organisation as ‘C’, was due to retire in November 2019 after serving the traditional five-year tenure in the role.
However, last April Theresa May confirmed he would remain in post for at least another year on the recommendation of Sir Mark Sedwill, the Cabinet Secretary who also serves as National Security Advisor, to oversee any security issues that may have arisen from Brexit.
The Telegraph understands a shortlist of three people has been drawn up to become the new ‘C’, with at least one currently serving in another government department.

Sir Andrew has previously warned that Britain faces “a three dimensional threat: at home, overseas, and online” and that losses in Syria and Iraq by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) shows that “ideology does not require territory to survive”.
High on the list of priorities for the new Director General of MI5, expected to be in post in the first half of 2020, will be the threat to the UK from Isil fighters returning from Syria, Libya and Iraq.
There are an estimated 2,000 foreign fighters held in custody in Syria, mainly by Kurdish forces, and the number of escapees after the recent Turkish incursion following the partial US withdrawal was less than feared.
However, the problem is still thought to be a major concern in Whitehall as the scale of the potential threat is unprecedented and few of the underlying radicalising practices or grievances have been addressed in the Arab world.

The threat from a resurgent Russia in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine and the nerve agent attack in Salisbury in 2018, will also demand attention from the new spy chiefs.

To date, we have not received correspondence from the IRS about our whistleblower complaint formerly acknowledged by a letter of February 2017 for American 21st Century. We wrote on a Cat Report of August 2019:
We filed a complaint against David Brock's non-profits for tax fraud. We gave the IRS extensive records, more than 300 pages, all of which were available from public filings of these so-called 'non-profits'. We received two notices that our materials were received with a whistleblower complaint number. We filed in 2017 and received this letter:

Below is the document we filed. We sent it nicely packaged in a three ring-binder with flash drive copies as well. We practically did all their F*CKING work for them. We made copies of the IRS forms where the fraud is so obvious even a rookie IRS agent could spot it. We still haven't heard anything about this in-your-face tax fraud.
And you know why we haven't heard back from them? Our guess is that some Senior Executive Services stooge is keeping this file from being acted upon because David Brock and Shareblue are Democrat babies.

Two State Department contracts with Facebook in 2009-2010 have just emerged in the latest trove of Hillary Clinton emails. The first $120,000 contract on Sep. 26, 2009[389] was for State Department "communications services." According to GSA records, the next three contracts paid $250,000 for "Peace Corp advertising services." Then, a $265,000 contract on Sep. 30, 2010[390] was issued for more State Department "communications services." Dmitry Shevelenko's LinkedIn Profile[391] reveals his true agenda for these contracts: November 2010 election manipulation, which is a violation of the Hatch Act 5 CFR 733.106(d). Following Judicial Watch’s discovery of secret State Dept./Hillary Facebook instruction manuals, I filed this FOIA.
The only responses received were (1) acknowledgement that it had been received, (2) then a notice that I would be charged for doing the search of all of Facebook’s emails with Hillary and the State Department.
Subsequently, the State Department began stonewalling Congress’s request for documents. Therefore, I have reserved further action since it was evident that I would be stonewalled as well and that we would have to wait for a different administration. To date, the Trump State Department has not responded to this FOIA either.

My position on Donald Trump
December 2016
I’ve written many words about the man and what he’s been doing. To repeat a few of them, his two most important achievements are: he’s contributing, in a major way, to the ongoing destruction of the credibility of big media; and he kept Hillary Clinton out of the White House.
Concerning the media— I am tremendously enthusiastic about what Trump has done. I pop champagne corks on that one. He’s provided a public service for the ages. We would be light years beyond where we are now, if the world of conventional journalism hadn’t sold its soul, its morality, its intelligence, and its hunger for getting to the bottom of things so long ago. In his own improvisations and riffs, Trump has turned the media stars on their heads looking out of their asses. He has been merciless. He has worked acrobatic tricks worthy of a Salvador Dali. When they thought he was here, he was there. When they thought they had him pinned against the wall, he vanished and there was no wall. When they thought he was done, he was starting. When they assumed they were occupying a higher position, he was poking them in the solar plexus of their pretensions and exposing them as rank amateurs. They go sober-serious, he laughs. They deride and mock him, he reminds them they’re supposed to be professional. They scream and go ballistic, he walks away. He’s supposed to be in Washington, he’s in New York. He’s supposed to lay out his schedule for them, he vanishes. He shouldn’t talk to a foreign leader, he talks to a foreign leader. The Washington Post reports the Russians hacked the election, he says the CIA is making it up.
Make no mistake about it, Globalists of every stripe and disguise infect Washington like the plague. Their goals, reputations, connections, and paychecks are on the line. They want to neutralize Trump by any means possible. He has hammered the TPP, and said he’ll cancel it (Chuck Schumer has already said it’s dead). He is raising the banner of nationalism, not Globalism, and he promises to bring back jobs to America…everything he promises in this regard is running counter to the Rockefeller agenda of destruction.
Will he change the pernicious culture, which is devolving to the point where “free-everything” for nothing is considered the most illuminated version of political philosophy? He will try, but indirectly, by opening up new levels of employment.
Will he continue to slam major media control of the information flow? Yes. In that regard, he has already done more than any president in modern history.
And if language is important (and it is), his communication with the American people, in its direct colloquial style, is a distinct departure from the polished, empty, grotesque media/politician mechanical mind-numbing bullshit that has all but taken over the landscape.
Will he try to curtail the divide-and-conquer “race-war” mentality that has been heavily promoted over the last eight years? Again, his basic strategy is: give people jobs. Renew the economy. Float all boats.
Will Trump curtail open borders and reduce the reality of terrorists and criminals entering the US? Will he knock aside the unproven claims of global warmists and erase the absurd and dangerous carbon-tax plan? Will he rebuild the fading infrastructure of this country? Will he put Common Core out of its misery? I believe he will make progress in all these areas. How much progress? Impossible to predict.
Will he refuse to launch wars and covert ops of Empire? Will he bring massive numbers of US troops stationed abroad back home, kick the neocons out on their asses, and scale back the enormous influence of the military-industrial complex, which, after JFK, encircled America with its dream of a forever World Empire? This would be one of the most important actions he could launch as president. And the effort is like trying to turn an oil tanker around in a small space. To the degree he rebuilds the military, he’ll keep pouring $$ into the maw of the military-industrial machine. I think it’s possible that he and his advisors see, from a purely pragmatic viewpoint, that American Empire has reached an end-point. It is a failure. It can’t go further. The blowback on America has outflanked its lists of Empire-conquests. However, until Trump shows he’s really going to try to cancel the neocon American Empire, and means it, I’m not making any assumptions whatsoever.
Is Donald Trump more than a puppet in the hands of Globalists? I believe he is more than that.
Is he a mere tool who was handed the election by Globalists who realized Hillary Clinton was too sick and deranged to stay the course in the White House? I believe he is not a mere tool in their hands, even if they ended up supporting him.
Does he want the job of president ONLY for the purpose of feathering his personal nest and stroking his own ego? I don’t think that’s the case now, if it ever was.
***However, unraveling his myriad business interests is necessary, in order to discover whether his decisions as president add to his wealth. Handing over those businesses to his family isn’t a barrier against self-aggrandizing policies. Trump is, after all, a real estate hustler from way back.
One question in this regard: Trump appears ready to give US corporations a tax holiday, so they can bring back huge amounts of money they’ve stashed overseas, for the express purpose of buying shares of their own companies. This practice has been a way CEOs can make their operations look good (share prices go up) while actually producing nothing new. As a reader of mine suggested (and I ask), will this Trump policy of share-buying do nothing to rejuvenate those businesses, thus creating no new jobs? And will this policy enable Trump’s family to buy shares in whatever piece of the Trump empire is publicly traded, pushing up its stock price? This needs serious attention.
Will Trump roll back the many local incarnations of the UN’s criminal Agenda 21 blueprint for closely monitored, extensively planned technocratic towns and cities? I’m not sure he’s even aware of this massive incursion on life in America—aside from sanctuary cities fronted by virtue-signaling liberal snowflakes and paid operatives. He will take steps to reduce those bastions of hope and change.
Is it possible that, when all is said and done, Trump’s most important action will have been his merciless attack on major media—and by extension, their Globalist handlers? Yes. And by my measure, he would then have achieved a step toward freeing information and truth from its century-long prison of mind control. The consequences of such a liberation could be titanic. In the long run, Trump is far less important than the millions of people who could wake up from their deep slumber.
I believe Trump’s plan to bring employment back to America will involve a kind of FDR/New Deal program of trillion-dollar government contracts to rebuild the infrastructure. This is by no means free-market America. If his plan gets through the Congress, many new jobs will be created, yes. On the other hand, the $$ power of the federal government will increase. It’s never a great idea to give the feds more control as the number-one employer in the nation.
I think Trump favors jobs, all jobs, and will go to extremes to create them. This includes giving the green light to tech giants to keep carrying out contracts to expand the Surveillance State. He’ll find ways to allow the FDA to license new drugs more quickly, thus maiming and killing more Americans. He’ll cast a blind eye toward big corporate toxic GMOs/pesticides. He’ll overlook and ignore major areas of agricultural and industrial pollution, and permit them to expand.
Will Trump curtail the disturbing trend of militarizing local police forces across America? Doubtful.
Will he root out and eliminate the power of vicious gangs in inner cities—gangs who are holding residents hostage in their own communities? I believe he’ll make at least a minimum effort. Even if a president is motivated, that’s a very tall order.
I assume that as a businessman he has committed criminal acts of one kind or another. Do they rank as high as the pay-for-play Clinton Foundation and the mass obliteration of Libya, two of Hillary Clinton’s favorite operations? No. Not even close.
Will Trump favor big-corporate cronies with the gift of government contracts? I would think so.
Will he make deals and side-deals, some of which go beyond the literal bounds of law, to advance his presidential agenda? I would certainly think so. What president hasn’t?
Could everything I’m mentioning in this article go by the boards, because Trump’s enemies create sudden disasters for him to manage—disasters which dwarf all other issues and programs? Absolutely.
Could Trump himself make a fatal error that brings his house down? For example, could his advisors convince him to make a wide-ranging deal with Russia that includes the extradition of Edward Snowden to stand trial in America? Maybe.
Could Trump be convinced to start a dangerous war somewhere, perhaps in response to a planned false-flag operation designed for that very purpose? It’s possible.
Does he see that so-called liberals, who are really socialists and Globalists and technocrats, have come very close to taking over this country, under the banner of “share and care” and “empathy” and “love”—behind which they hide an endless supply of venom for those people who believe in a) working for their own rewards; b) individualism; and c) independence of thought? I think he plans to approach that gigantic reality with jobs and more jobs; his blanket solution. Put America back to work. Is that a real solution? Yes, it certainly helps. But here we are talking about the culture, and what he can possibly say to the American people to restore a sense of traditional values (life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) that doesn’t come across as vapid sentimentality. He is a clever man. I believe he wants to sidestep a direct confrontation with “the values issue.” Instead, he wants to cure the genuine desperation many Americans feel because they can’t find decent work. He wants to create a boom in the domestic economy that floats all boats. I can’t fault him for that. However, a major part of the US economy has long been predicated on jobs that either produce nothing or produce toxic outcomes. Those engines aren’t going to go away.
I believe Trump can make progress in decimating the political-correctness disease. I believe he can help reverse the obsession with parsing people’s words and finding “hidden racist content.” And the issue where all this rubber meets the road is: immigration.
His opponents will keep saying that anything less than wide open borders is Hitlerian. His point is: there is a threat and a danger. Letting in felons; letting in potential terrorists and actual terrorists; letting in people who hate America and want everything they can get for free in America; letting in people who take jobs from Americans (including legal immigrants); letting in people who overburden the economy via all the free services they can obtain—this is wrong, this is suicide, this is crazy. It has nothing to do with racism.
If he succeeds in reducing this immigration threat—wall or no wall—he will go a significant distance in proving that protecting America has nothing to do with hatred.
At the same time (and I have to stress this again), he can’t decide to keep forwarding Empire abroad, thus exacerbating the desire for revenge against America among many people who feel the destructive force of the US military machine.
If he turns into just another jingoist, he’s finished. And he should be.
He needs to talk to Ron Paul. At length.
What about draining the swamp in Washington? This is another case of trying to turn around an oil tanker in a small space. He needs to provide vivid examples. For starters, he should pursue, with all speed, the gathering of specific evidence for the prosecution of Hillary and Bill Clinton, vis-à-vis the Clinton Foundation and its nefarious activities. No stone should be left unturned. That would set a new tone.
For people who need a heavy dose of who and what the Clintons are, I recommend immersing yourself in everything the late Christopher Hitchens wrote and said about them. (I’m sure Hitchens would hate a Trump presidency.)
—If I were in charge of everything from the beginning of the Republic in the 18th century (!), my goal would have been to make a hundred Republics with severely limited governments on this continent—with virtually no foreign entanglements of any kind (political or commercial)—instead, opting for self-sufficiency as the primary value. But that’s another story for another time. Meanwhile, I see a glint of light here, and I see risks and possibilities, and I see that perhaps we can make steps toward ridding America of the festering woes that have beset it: Empire, on the one hand; hideous liberalism masking a technocratic Globalist takeover that would sink us, on the other hand.
At no time over the past 30 years of working as a reporter have I felt all is lost. At no time have I felt that the forces arrayed against us are too great or too smart. At no time have I felt that all doors are closed. I take the long view. Many things can happen to wake people up—mainly themselves when they finally feel their way of operating and living has become self-defeating.
Rather than opting for pure hope now, I believe Trump’s feet should be held to the fire. He made promises. Those promises are clear. We should see authentic efforts from him in those directions.
I’m aware that some readers can only accept extreme views of Trump or any politician. Wonderful or terrible. Messianic or hideous. That’s not what I’ve presented here. I’ve presented what I see. So be it.

I happened to attend that particular workshop in New Hampshire back in 2014. I know that PDF was extracted from a 60-minute, Atlas Shrugged Conference session. Thereafter, that filmed workshop presentation was broken up and expanded into 14 segments (each 11 minutes or less) so as to also include Q & A by the Atlas Shrugged audience.

From an old baseball coach and well worth reading... Twenty years ago, in Nashville, Tennessee, during the first week of January 1996, more than 4,000 baseball coaches descended upon the Opryland Hotel for the 52nd annual ABCA's convention.
While I waited in line to register with the hotel staff, I heard other more veteran coaches rumbling about the lineup of speakers scheduled to present during the weekend. One name, in particular, kept resurfacing, always with the same sentiment - "John Scolinos is here? Oh, man, worth every penny of my airfare."
Who is John Scolinos, I wondered. No matter; I was just happy to be there.
In 1996, Coach Scolinos was 78 years old and five years retired from a college coaching career that began in 1948. He shuffled to the stage to an impressive standing ovation, wearing dark polyester pants, a light blue shirt, and a string around his neck from which home plate hung - a full-sized, stark-white home plate. Seriously, I wondered, who is this guy?
After speaking for twenty-five minutes, not once mentioning the prop hanging around his neck, Coach Scolinos appeared to notice the snickering among some of the coaches. Even those who knew Coach Scolinos had to wonder exactly where he was going with this, or if he had simply forgotten about home plate since he'd gotten on stage. Then, finally ...
"You're probably all wondering why I'm wearing home plate around my neck," he said, his voice growing irascible. I laughed along with the others, acknowledging the possibility. "I may be old, but I'm not crazy. The reason I stand before you today is to share with you baseball people what I've learned in my life, what I've learned about home plate in my 78 years" Several hands went up when Scolinos asked how many Little League coaches were in the room. "Do you know how wide home plate is in Little League?"
After a pause, someone offered, "Seventeen inches?", more of a question than answer.
"That's right," he said. "How about in Babe Ruth's day? Any Babe Ruth coaches in the house?" Another long pause.
"Seventeen inches?" a guess from another reluctant coach.
"That's right," said Scolinos. "Now, how many high school coaches do we have in the room?" Hundreds of hands shot up, as the pattern began to appear. "How wide is home plate in high school baseball?"
"Seventeen inches," they said, sounding more confident.
"You're right!" Scolinos barked. "And you college coaches, how wide is home plate in college?"
"Seventeen inches!" we said, in unison.
"Any Minor League coaches here? How wide is home plate in pro ball?"..........."Seventeen inches!"
"RIGHT! And in the Major Leagues, how wide home plate is in the Major Leagues? "Seventeen inches!"
"SEV-EN-TEEN INCHES!" he confirmed, his voice bellowing off the walls.
"And what do they do with a Big League pitcher who can't throw the ball over seventeen inches?" Pause. "They send him to Pocatello !" he hollered, drawing raucous laughter.
"What they don't do is this: they don't say, 'Ah, that's okay, Jimmy. If you can't hit a seventeen-inch target? We'll make it eighteen inches or nineteen inches. We'll make it twenty inches so you have a better chance of hitting it. If you can't hit that, let us know so we can make it wider still, say twenty-five inches.'"
Pause. "Coaches... what do we do when your best player shows up late to practice? or when our team rules forbid facial hair and a guy shows up unshaven? What if he gets caught drinking? Do we hold him accountable? Or do we change the rules to fit him? Do we widen home plate?"
The chuckles gradually faded as four thousand coaches grew quiet, the fog lifting as the old coach's message began to unfold. He turned the plate toward himself and, using a Sharpie, began to draw something.
When he turned it toward the crowd, point up, a house was revealed, complete with a freshly drawn door and two windows. "This is the problem in our homes today. With our marriages, with the way we parent our kids. With our discipline. We don't teach accountability to our kids, and there is no consequence for failing to meet standards. We just widen the plate!"
Pause. Then, to the point at the top of the house, he added a small American flag. "This is the problem in our schools today. The quality of our education is going downhill fast and teachers have been stripped of the tools they need to be successful, and to educate and discipline our young people. We are allowing others to widen home plate! Where is that getting us?"
Silence. He replaced the flag with a Cross. "And this is the problem in the Church, where powerful people in positions of authority have taken advantage of young children, only to have such an atrocity swept under the rug for years. Our church leaders are widening home plate for themselves! And we allow it."
"And the same is true with our government. Our so-called representatives make rules for us that don't apply to themselves. They take bribes from lobbyists and foreign countries. They no longer serve us. And we allow them to widen home plate! We see our country falling into a dark abyss while we just watch."
I was amazed. At a baseball convention where I expected to learn something about curveballs and bunting and how to run better practices, I had learned something far more valuable. From an old man with home plate strung around his neck, I had learned something about life, about myself, about my own weaknesses and about my responsibilities as a leader. I had to hold myself and others accountable to that which I knew to be right, lest our families, our faith, and our society continue down an undesirable path.
"If I am lucky," Coach Scolinos concluded, "you will remember one thing from this old coach today. It is this: "If we fail to hold ourselves to a higher standard, a standard of what we know to be right; if we fail to hold our spouses and our children to the same standards, if we are unwilling or unable to provide a consequence when they do not meet the standard; and if our schools & churches & our government fail to hold themselves accountable to those they serve, there is but one thing to look forward to ..."
With that, he held home plate in front of his chest, turned it around, and revealed its dark black backside, "...We have dark days ahead!."
Note: Coach Scolinos died in 2009 at the age of 91, but not before touching the lives of hundreds of players and coaches, including mine. Meeting him at my first ABCA convention kept me returning year after year, looking for similar wisdom and inspiration from other coaches. He is the best clinic speaker the ABCA has ever known because he was so much more than a baseball coach. His message was clear: "Coaches, keep your players-no matter how good they are-your own children, your churches, your government, and most of all, keep yourself at seventeen inches."
And this my friends is what our country has become and what is wrong with it today. Now go out there and fix it!
"Don't widen the plate."
